MMORPG系は基本的にはCHAT機能がしっかりしてるのでこういうのは縁が薄いようですが、逆を言えば標準機能に依存しすぎてサーバダウンとかの非常事態にはゲーム外での連絡手段を持たない為に不便を強いられるプレイヤーが多いのも事実ではないでしょうか。 そういう時にIRCなどの連絡手段があるのと無いのとでは雲泥の差がありますので個人的にはこういったゲーム外での連絡手段の導入をお勧めします。

4月28日 0時55分 「にゅ缶」「Rag板」「オフィシャルの公知に速攻で突っ込むスレ」にて「アイテムバンク」というRMT仲介サイトのURLがポストされる。
続きのレスでその会社の代表取締役「完山 明錫」は「完山
敏錫」の名前でアイテムバンクの設立メンバーを募集していた事。そして「完山
敏錫」という人物で検索すると「テクノブラッド」の代表取締役監査役であった事が判明。「テクノブラッド」と言えばガンホーの元社長「孫 泰蔵」が取締役副社長を務める会社で、ビジネスパートナーにガンホー・オンライン・エンターテイメントと記載している間柄です。

In a joint statement from Level
Up!, Cisco
and PLDT, service interruption
of Philippine
Ragnarok Online between March
29th and April
5th, was identified as an isolated
problem
within a section of the PLDT
network. PLDT
confirms that a Cisco router
module had an
adverse effect on user connections
to Level
Up! servers, but not necessarily
to the overall
PLDT network.
Contrary to some reports, this
did not affect
the entire PLDT network and people
were still
able to access the Internet.
This problem
was reported to Cisco, which
has been working
with PLDT to resolve this issue.
Coinciding with a release from
the press
about a possible global attack,
the issue
with the Cisco router was identified
during
troubleshooting by PLDT and Cisco
during
that same week. Although this
was considered
as a possible source of the router
problem,
after extensive evaluation Cisco
confirmed
that this was not the reason,
as previously
reported.
Level Up! will continue to work
to resolve
any lingering connectivity issues
its customers
may experience.

LV54～63くらいまでMjolnir_03でキャラメル狩りしてて運良くカードが3枚手に入ったので作りました。
これめちゃめちゃ強いです。商人だからたいした効率は出ませんでしたが、それでも覚醒水と肉満載で
アルゴス・アルギオペの徘徊する配置変更前のMjolnir_10では大変重宝しました。
これが無かったらJOB50まではやらなかったかもしれません。

Prontera Tourism Office announces
today that
the Open Beta characters will
not be deleted.
To maintain a working game economy
on the
15th of April all characters
will have the
items and Zeny inventory of today
(8th of
April) 9 am CET. This means that
you still
can level your characters and
open Accounts
but all items and all Zeny which
your character
earns or takes into posession
from this time
up until 13th of April will be
deleted. Of
course your old items and Zeny
which you
had before 8th of April will
not be deleted.
Guild castles will be handled
the same way.
The Ownership and the invest
of the 8th of
April will be used, too.
The Server will be go offline
at 10am CET
on April 13th and will go online
again at
10am CET April 15th.
This decision means that all
Open Beta account
users will have to pay from April
15th. New
users starting from April 15th
will get 15
days of play for free (free trial).
We hope you understand why this
announcement
has only been able to be made
now. In effect
we were wanting to avoid the
situation where
players would have thrown away
their items
to other players causing problems
with the
economy.
It has been very important for
us to find
a solution that allows players
who want to
continue to play after April
15th to keep
their characters whilst avoiding
hyperinflation
in the game.
We thank all players for their
patience and
understanding that by keeping
the economy
stable we could avoid a wipe/reset.

さて、Aプラン（台湾の複製分流方式）とBプラン（タイの希望者移住方式劣化版）どちらになるでしょうか
各所でいろいろ言われていますが、現状ではどちらに転んでも一時的な相場の荒廃に大差は無いと

以前公式FreeBBSで15days free
trialがbot稼働用にたくさん使われている事が指摘されていましたが

We thought we had stabilized
the 1st set
of worlds by replacing key routers.
However
we still receive numerous complaints
on connecting
to the game. We will be doing
more testing
and reconfigurations but we're
allowing players
to keep on playing so that we
can properly
simulate our normal pRO environment.

△フィリピン OFFICIAL LEVEL UP! STATEMENT April 2, 2004
Level Up! would like to take
the opportunity
to clarify the issues that have
affected
Ragnarok services since March
29, 2004 which
is also the day we upgraded the
War of Emperium
episode into our systems.
How did Level Up! prepare for
the War of
Emperium episode launch in light
of past
experiences with big patches?
We aggregated 500MB of bandwidth
and set
up two dedicated pipes (separate
from the
game bandwidth) to allow people
to download
the patches easily, both manually
and through
automatic patching. There were
also 2 mirror
sites where players and internet
cafes could
manually download the patch.
We also sent
out executable patch files with
our sales
force for distribution to internet
cafes
the weekend before March 29.
Two Gravity
engineers from Korea have also
been with
us since mid-March to make sure
things went
smoothly.
Anticipating an increased amount
of traffic
to the game given the new episode
and the
start of summer break, we also
split up the
servers into 2 groups (Chaos-Loki-Iris
and
Odin-Fenrir-Sarah) to manage
traffic in more
reasonable streams of data and
information.
Players can attest to the fact
that it was
not difficult to download the
War of Emperium
patches. It was unfortunate however
that
there were unexpected PLDT DSL
DNS problems
from March 27 that made it impossible
for
their i-cafe and player subscribers
to download
the patch or log-in to the game
all the way
up to March 30.
Starting March 31, we had mass
reports from
players about missing characters,
lost skills,
lost items, sex-change on characters,
downed
zones and maps and disconnection
problems.
We have pinned these incidents
down to communication
errors between the character,
account and
world inter-server databases
as a result
of severe packet losses in the
network. The
communication errors cause the
seeming loss
of characters, items and skills
and change
of sex. Although these seem "lost",
they are actually still on the
database but
the network problems prevent
players from
seeing them. The Gravity application
is also
a bit sensitive to packet loss
so that if
the servers don't receive the
proper signals
from the network, the applications
in these
servers or zones may shut down.
Although we have the highest
bandwidth package
available from the US host of
our message
boards, the massive traffic to
the site from
players with very valid complaints
also clogs
that system.
In order to resolve these ongoing
network
errors, our IT teams, along with
the Gravity
engineers are working closely
with PLDT round-the
clock to pinpoint the source
of the disruption
and stop it. Two more top-level
engineers
from Gravity arrived last night
to expedite
a resolution.
Yesterday, because of our solid
working relationship
with PLDT, we were able to hold
a summit
with their operations, network,
telehousing,
i-gate and customer service management
for
development of an extensive back-up
network
to make sure that we have full
redundancy
in these situations. Level Up!
will hold
office within the telehousing
center for
a faster response time. We are
installing
additional monitoring systems
within our
routers and switches.
Although we already have top-caliber
routers,
switches, and over 200 Dell &
IBM servers
running Ragnarok, we will be
investing in
full redundancy provisioning
equivalent to
those being operated by financial
institutions
and other internet data services.
We are
adding even more gigabit switches
and are
putting up another HBOS fiberlink
to connect
our main data center with our
disaster recovery
data center. The 2 data centers
are actually
the reason why sometimes only
1 group of
worlds work, and not the other.
We are making this statement
in the effort
to keep the entire community
informed on
what's happening in detail. Every
time the
servers go down we are full aware
of our
responsibility to the community
to get the
game running again. Please be
assured that
Level Up!, Gravity and PLDT are
doing everything
in their power to make sure we
return to
normal service in the shortest
amount of
time possible, and to prevent
situations
of this nature from happening
again.

ネットワーク機材をグレードの高いものに交換してみたりとか通常の状態に復帰するための作業が
今も続けられています。
とりあえず復旧するまでは決済処理を止めて無料で遊べる状態にしたようです。

Due to continuing network problems
throughout
the day, Level Up! decided to
cancel the
guild siege originally scheduled
at 3-5pm
today to be fair to guilds who
could not
log in to defend their castle.
The game was
shut down at approximately 3:10pm
to proceed
with network fixes. During the
downtime,
we returned guild houses which
were sieged
to the original owners prior
to the 3pm schedule.
Guild siege will resume at 3-5pm
on Friday,
April 2, 2004.
We apologize for the inconvenience
we've
caused to dedicated players who've
attempted
to log in today. The chain reaction
of events
also affected our message boards
and Customer
Service page. We will be adding
1 day to
all unlimited (P100 and P350
cards) accounts
and 1 hour to all 8-hour accounts.
The game
will resume later this evening.
